Meditiation:
Praying for a happy death
We must die to self each day
Christ can then be birthed more in our lives
We should not miss the dead part of us
Except to learn from it, using it to cultivate and enrich life.
We should welcome the newness God provides,
And when finally, the I has died,
Christ is born again, resurrected and free in the world.
Prayer:
A prayer for a happy death
Lord help me to die to myself today
Take these daily deaths
As an offering to you.
Scatter the ashes of these deaths
Over our lives
Come into my life anew
Be my life renewed
Roll the Stone away and call me forth.
